It started in a family kitchen.
In 2018, our family opened a restaurant. Almost overnight, I learned how much of a restaurant's survival happens away from the pass. The margins, the compliance deadlines, the payroll that has to be right before anyone clocks in: I lived all of it firsthand.
I didn't learn restaurant finance from a textbook. I learned it on the floor, at the close, and in the late nights when the numbers had to make sense before payroll ran. I saw how quickly disorganized books can put real pressure on a business that's otherwise doing everything right, and how much peace of mind comes from finally being able to see your numbers clearly.
What struck me most was how alone most owners feel with the financial side. They're brilliant at hospitality and running a room, but the back office is where good restaurants quietly lose ground: the bookkeeping, the taxes, the risk. I decided to build something for exactly that. Financial support designed around how restaurants actually operate, not generic bookkeeping forced to fit.
Today, The Kitchen CFO is a team that treats your books as the story of your business, keeping you compliant and protected, and giving you the clarity to make confident decisions throughout the month. My work as a licensed commercial claims adjuster shapes how we approach risk. We look at exposure most bookkeepers never consider, not just the transactions in front of us.
We've sat where you sit. We know what it feels like to carry a business, because we've carried one, and that's the perspective we bring to every set of books we touch.
Four principles we build on
Proactive, not reactive
We anticipate the numbers before they become problems, not scramble after the fact.
Numbers as narrative
Your financial statements tell the story of your business. Our job is to make that story clear.
Compliance as protection
Not bureaucracy. A shield around everything you've worked to build.
Structure creates freedom
Clean systems give you clarity, confidence, and room to grow on purpose.
